Exploring the antique shops and art galleries in Tinakori Village is definitely worth your time however there are many other attractions close to the apartments.


Visit Wellington’s Botanic Gardens and enjoy 25 hectares of specialised plant collections, colourful botanical displays, unique landscape, protected native forest, and views over Wellington City. You can walk through the gardens down to the city and waterfront and/or take the cable car from the city back up to the gardens for your walk back. There is also a delightful café in the Rose Gardens.


Premier House, the official residence of the Prime Minister of New Zealand, is located a shiort distance down the road at at 260 Tinakori Road. Whillst Premier House isn’t open to the public its worth a quick peep over the fence!


Katherine Mansfield House and Garden is the birthplace of Katherine Mansfield and can be found at 25 Tinakori Road. Enter the 1888 home of a fashionable colonial family and discover the world and writing of Katherine Mansfield, an internationally acclaimed New Zealand author. Enjoy the heritage garden and delve deeper through changing exhibitions. Katherine Mansfield House & Garden, is a writer’s museum and Category 1 Historic Place in the inner-city heritage suburb of Thorndon. Opened to the public in 1988, Katherine Mansfield House & Garden offers a unique insight into 19th-century Wellington and the life, loves and literature of its most famous former occupant.   • Parliament precinct, the Beehive and the City are a ten-minute walk down Bowen or Hill Street.
  • The waterfront is a further five minutes walk from there.
  • Lambton Quay is the main shopping street in Wellington
  • Cuba Street is Wellington’s most colourful street with quirky cafés, vintage clothing, record stores, art galleries and the famous (in Wellington) Bucket Fountain
